Warren Towler, CA

Warren received his CA designation in 1989 and prior to joining the firm was a corporate controller in the real estate industry for 18 years. Early in his accounting career Warren gained several years of valuable experience with three medium sized accounting firms offering accounting and tax services to a wide variety of clients. Fred and Warren, having met through volunteer work as finance committee members of a large international charity, found that they worked well together and possessed similar attitudes towards professional service and how an accounting firm should provide accounting, tax and business advice to their clients.

In early 2008, seeking a change in career direction, Warren accepted Fred’s offer to join W & T. Warren enjoys dealing directly with clients as well as working closely with Fred and Roger to develop and expand their practice. Tax planning has always been an interest of Warren’s and he looks forward to assisting clients to minimize their tax burden and to save money. In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, Warren holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Victoria and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia.

Warren is married to Lara and has one daughter.

C. Roger Whittaker, Certified Financial Planner

Roger has worked with his father since 1988. Originally working at Whittaker & Towler on a part-time basis during tax seasons while he went to college and BCIT, he then continued with the firm on a full-time basis in 1993. Roger’s varied experience and education allows him to provide clients with valuable accounting and tax services along with comprehensive money management strategies.

While not providing specific investment counselling, Roger focuses on providing overall investment and wealth accumulation strategies that assist clients to reach their goals. The financial planning strategies are incorporated in conjunction with tax planning to provide clients with the information they require to achieve their financial objectives.

His post-secondary education includes receiving his Certified Financial Planner designation and earning his diploma of Occupational Health and Safety. Roger is currently studying to become a Certified General Accountant.

Roger is married to Heide and together they have 3 wonderful children.

C. Fred Whittaker, CA

Fred has been in the accounting profession for over 40 years. He received his Chartered Accountant’s designation in 1967 and has worked with various accounting firms as well as having his own accounting practice. For the last 19 years he has worked for himself, which he much prefers. He moved his office from downtown Vancouver to the Edgemont Village location in North Vancouver, B.C. in 1992 and in July 2007, moved to the current Esplanade location, close to the North Vancouver Seabus terminal and Lonsdale Quay. Along with his colleagues, Warren and Roger, he provides accounting and business advisory services to clients in North Vancouver and the lower mainland.

Fred and Jill Worobec have an extended family which includes 5 children from either side of the family as well as 9 grandchildren.
